The Mighty Lemon Drops - Happy Head (40th Anniversary - Dinked Archive Edition No. 31)
Released 15th May 2026
First released in 1986 on Geoff Travis’ ‘Blue Guitar’ label, Happy Head is the debut album from Wolverhampton’s The Mighty Lemon Drops. Produced by Stephen Street, fresh from his work with The Smiths, the record shimmers with ringing guitars and a vibrant blend of psychedelia and post-punk energy.
Includes the singles ’The Other Side Of You’ and ‘My Biggest Thrill’, alongside the title track ‘Happy Head’ - a song which first appeared on C86 - NME’s now iconic compilation that helped define a generation of indie guitar music.
The album also features a re-recorded version of ‘Like An Angel’, the band’s breakthrough independent single. Newly remastered from the original tapes by Phil Kinrade at AIR Mastering to mark the album’s 40th anniversary.
Pressed on 140g black and red marbled vinyl, accompanied by a bonus black 7” featuring the early ‘Dreamworld’ versions of ‘Something Happens’ and ‘Now She’s Gone’.
Assembled with the assistance of the band who have provided a new introductory sleeve note.
Strictly limited to 500 units.

Released 23rd October 2026 Fudge is Michael Kiwanuka’s most free and instinctive album to date. A vibrant, deeply human record shaped by spontaneity, emotion, and creative joy. It’s loose, soulful, and alive with the kind of magic that only happens when the process leads the way. The album was inspired by the encouraging words of the late Chick Corea, whose interview Michael stumbled upon during the pandemic lockdown, urging him to embrace what he loved without worrying about what others migh...

Released 23rd October 2026 Some albums simply get better with time. Others wait patiently for the world to catch up. As it celebrates its 25th anniversary, The Joy of Sing-Sing feels less like an overlooked curiosity and more like one of the great lost British albums of its era. When Lush came to an abrupt end in 1996 following the tragic death of drummer Chris Acland, guitarist and songwriter Emma Anderson wasn't looking to recreate the past. She was searching for an entirely new musical part...

Released 23rd October 2026 Clara Mann’s luminous new album, Wishbone, is built on contrast; the brightest passages made legible by shadow, as Mann strove to picture a beautiful life and then to allow herself to want it, with absolute vulnerability. Leaning deliberately into the songwriting tradition, Mann reached for the rough-edged, performance-driven spirit of artists like Fiona Apple and Tom Waits; while keeping faith with an older lineage of plainspoken English balladry. With the folk sin...

Released 16th October 2026 Fontaines D.C. announce their fifth studio album, Dopamine Chamber, released on 16th October via XL Recordings. Produced by James Ford, it is the follow-up to 2024’s UK platinum-certified Romance – and the sound of a band moving decisively away from the guitar language of their early records into something colder, stranger and more synthetic. It arrives today alongside lead single “Marianne” and its accompanying video, directed by Dave Meyers. Dopamine Chamber arriv...
