Released 22nd July 2022.

SK says: "If the opening track of Dawes latest album 'Misadventures of Doomscroller' begins in typical fashion- Taylor Goldsmith's aphoristic, keenly observational songwriting; a tasteful guitar solo- it takes an intriguing turn midway through when a drum breakdown is followed by a fusion-y instrumental passage, which itself gives way to an anthemic coda featuring the fraternal harmonies which have persistently elevated their music over the last decade-plus. This three-part suite turns out to be indicative of an album which sees the Californians stretch out in a way they've only done sporadically since their debut 'North Hills', as Goldsmith and producer Jonathan Wilson (whose sonic fingerprints are all over this) pursue the musical maximalism of their live shows."

From the first note, Misadventures of Doomscroller, the eighth studio album by the Los Angeles based rock band Dawes, sets a tone all its own. Record by Jonathan Wilson (Roger Waters, Father John Misty, Jackson Browne, Jenny Lewis) at his Five Star Studios nestled in Topanga Canyon, Misadventures of Doomscroller is an expansion from their previous records, the 6-track wonderfully epic and at times psychedelic album, highlights Dawes’ popular live shows, showcasing their natural musicality.

Taylor Goldsmith explains, “We’ve always tried to be minimalists. Now we wanna be maximalists. See how far a song can take us. Find the song within a song. Strive for a kind of excellence we always quietly believed we had inside us but didn’t have the balls to put it down on tape."

Released 25th February 2022. "Like every record Superchunk has made over the last thirty-some years, Wild Loneliness is unskippably excellent and infectious. It’s a blend of stripped-down and lush, electric and acoustic, highs and lows, and I love it all. On Wild Loneliness I hear echoes of Come Pick Me Up, Here’s to Shutting Up, and Majesty Shredding. After the (ahem, completely justifiable) anger of What a Time to Be Alive, this new record is less about what we’ve lost in these harrowing ti...

Expected Release 8th July 2022. Found Light may be Laura Veirs’ 12th studio LP, but it also, in many ways, feels like her debut. If 2020’s My Echo—written and mixed just prior to her 2019 split from her longtime husband, her longtime producer, and the father of her two sons—was her divorce album, Found Light is about what comes after. Found Light is a liberating collection of inquisitive and surprisingly assured snapshots of healing and personal growth, and her very first release with co-prod...

Released 11th March 2022. The follow-up to the band's acclaimed debut album, Endless Scroll (2018), and 2019's Shiny New Model EP, Broken Equipment was inspired by a book club. In the early months of 2020, the Brooklyn art-punk incendiaries gathered together with close friends to study the works of a wide range of philosophers. Passionate debates lasting long into the night became a regular occurrence, motivating the band to become asideologically unified as the weighty tomes they were readin...
