Tom Odell @ the Mem Hall - Saturday 29th October

After a stunning solo piano performance last year, we're delighted to welcome back Tom Odell to the Memorial Hall Steinway on Saturday 29th October from 8pm (7.30pm doors). Tom will be playing a short solo set to promote the release of his brand new album 'Best Day Of My Life'.

We heard so many compliments after his moving set last October where the former BRITs Critic's Choice and Ivor Novello-winner transformed the darkly beat-driven songs of last record 'monsters' into mesmerising piano compositions and his new album 'Best Day Of My Life' also strips things back to just Tom's voice and the 88 keys, drawing inspiration from Erik Satie and Philip Glass, as well as the "beautiful landscapes and vistas" of Studio Ghibli animations while also channelling their "feeling of corruption and sadness".

After four Top 5 albums, this set of songs promises to be his most personal and poignant to date, addressing the anxiety which Odell has battled with the help of transcendental meditation, and the quiet and calm of that practise manifest in the record's moments of beauty and release.

'Best Day Of My Life' is released on Friday 28th October on CD, LP and indies purple vinyl. Album and ticket bundles are available exclusively from Sound Knowledge, with priority sale launching in-store and over the phone on 01672 511106 from 10.30am on Friday 9th September.
CD & Ticket Bundle - £19
LP & Ticket Bundle - £26
Indies LP & Ticket Bundle - £27
Ticket-only (*max 1 per order*) - £15.50

There are a limited number of standalone tickets available in addition to the bundles for this event but we'd ask you to consider buying a bundle where possible- it's better value for you and album sales help the artist and are essential to enabling us to organise these events.
