Robert Vincent P.A. - 22.06.24

This one's been years in the making. We're delighted to announce that acclaimed Liverpool singer-songwriter (and SK favourite!) Robert Vincent will be joining us from 6.30pm on Saturday 22nd June for an exclusive instore performance to celebrate the release of his brand new album 'Barriers'. 

A former Americana Artist of the Year at the AMA UK Awards, his albums 'I'll Make the Most of My Sins'- which was championed by Bob Harris and earned him a spot on an anniversary special of The Old Grey Whistle Test- and 'In This Town You're Owned' have both been on hard rotation at SK over the years. Robert visited us for a short preview when he headlined Bath's Americana Fest back in 2022 and we've been mighty keen to get him back ever since.

Recorded with another friend of the shop, Ethan Johns, new album 'Barriers' is a more introspective work, taking shape during the lockdowns and dealing with some testing personal experiences. Vincent cites Johns' work with Ray Lamontagne as a touchstone for the record. It's released on CD, LP and a limited edition vinyl exclusive to independent shops (and there are only a handful of these!). Entry to the event is free, but please do confirm via e-mail to let us know you're coming or pre-order a copy of the album from us to guarantee your spot.
